Housekeeper

Job Description: Housekeeper for Private Family in NYC 

A private family in NYC is seeking a professional and detail-oriented housekeeper to care for their 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom apartment. This is a live-out position requiring 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping: Perform light daily cleaning and tidying of the apartment; no deep cleaning required.
• Laundry & Ironing: Manage family laundry, including washing, pressing, handling delicates, and following care instructions on clothing labels.
• Light Kitchen Support: Occasionally assist with washing vegetables or light food prep (no cooking required).
• Flexibility: Be available to work a weekend day if needed and adapt to family needs as they arise.

Schedule:

• Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM) 

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience with verifiable references.
• Personality: Respectful, open-minded, and communicative, with the ability to follow family preferences and instructions.
• Hygiene: Extremely clean and mindful of health, including wearing a mask in crowded areas/public transportation and staying up-to-date with vaccinations.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $35–$45 per hour
• Additional Benefits:
  • 1 week vacation and 3–5 PTO days.

Additional Information:

• Travel: No travel required.
• Driving: Not required.
• Errands: Rarely requested, not a focus of the role.
