Household Manager
A busy couple in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking a professional and proactive Household Manager to oversee the smooth running of their home. The position will start with a commitment of 10 hours per week and has the potential to transition to full-time as their household needs grow, particularly as they plan to adopt a child in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Oversee household vendors, including cleaning services, maintenance contractors, and landscapers, ensuring quality service and adherence to schedules.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain household inventory, including toiletries, groceries, and other supplies, ensuring the home is always well-stocked.
- Event Coordination: Schedule and coordinate family events or gatherings, managing logistics and ensuring a seamless experience.
- Budget Oversight: Handle household budgets and bookings, including rentals for production or short-term stays.
- Staffing: Assist in identifying and hiring additional household staff, such as nannies, chefs, or cleaners, as needed.
- Light Cooking: Prepare light meals or assist with meal preparation when required.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Household Manager or in a similar role is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with vendors and household staff.
- Professional, proactive, and discreet demeanor.
- Ability to adapt to a growing family environment.
Position Details:
- Location: Fort Lee, NJ
- Schedule: 10 hours per week to start, with the opportunity to transition to full-time.
- Compensation: $50/hour
