Job Title: Preschool Teacher's Assistant

Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, to be coordinated with the Director)

Salary: $15-20 per hour (Flexibility for the right candidate/experience level)

Overview:

A private business in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Teacher's Assistant to join its small private preschool, designed exclusively for the children of its employees. The preschool serves up to 10 children, from birth to kindergarten, and focuses on providing a high-quality educational experience in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Support:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the developmental and educational needs of children from birth to kindergarten.
  • Help with executing daily lessons, activities, and routines as planned by the Lead Teacher.
  • Provide individual attention to children, helping support their unique learning needs and promoting cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
  • Foster a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning.

Classroom Maintenance:

  • Assist with classroom organization, including cleaning up after activities and maintaining an orderly learning space.
  • Participate in daily maintenance tasks such as picking up garbage and ensuring the classroom is clean and well-maintained.

Team Collaboration:

  • Support the Lead Teacher in conducting assessments and tracking children’s progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the preschool program.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool or similar early childhood education setting.
  • A strong understanding of early childhood development and educational best practices is essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff members.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
