Job Title: Family Assistant/Housekeeper 

Location: Roslyn Heights, NY

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 1 pm – 7 pm (30 hours/week)

Compensation:

• $30 per hour + Depending on Experience
• 2 weeks PTO (to be planned in advance)
• 3 sick days
• Paid major holidays

A warm and busy family of three in Roslyn Heights is seeking a reliable and proactive Family Assistant/Housekeeper to join their household. The family has a 3-year-old son who attends school daily until 4 pm, and they need support for 30 hours per week, primarily focused on housekeeping and childcare after school.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeping (before 4 pm):

• Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule, including deep cleaning for an 1800-2000 sq. ft. home.
• Perform full housekeeping duties: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, making beds, changing linens, family laundry, and dishes.
• Organize areas of the home, as time allows, to ensure a tidy and functional environment.
• Run light errands, such as occasional grocery shopping or making returns as needed. (Family does main grocery shopping through Fresh Direct)

Childcare/House Duties (after 4 pm):

• Pick up the 3-year-old from school and bring him to scheduled activities or home for dinner.
• Engage in fun and enriching activities such as library visits or outings for pizza.
• Prepare simple family meals each evening, including dishes like chicken breast w/ veggies, meatballs & spaghetti, ETC. (Family follows a Kosher diet so knowledge or experience with Kosher rules is a huge bonus! Willingness to learn is also happily accepted!)

The ideal candidate will be organized, responsible, and able to take initiative in managing household tasks and child-related duties.
