Job Title: Energetic Newborn Nanny

Location: Rye, NY

Start Date: ASAP

Position Type: Live-out, Full-time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, with flexibility for occasional half days on Saturdays or date nights.

Salary: $30-$32/hr, based on experience.

Benefits:

• Two weeks of paid time off (one week of nanny's choice and one week of employer's choice).
• Five sick days.

A friendly and laid-back family in Rye, NY, is seeking a loving and experienced nanny to primarily care for their 2-month-old newborn, with occasional assistance for their 4-year-old daughter. The family values a healthy, active lifestyle and has raised their older daughter to be communicative and engaged. The 4-year-old will be starting school soon, with parents handling the drop-off and a second caregiver responsible for pick-up and after-school care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and loving care to the 2-month-old newborn, with a focus on safe practices and developmental engagement.
• Respect the newborn's sleep schedule and ensure a calm, nurturing environment.
• Occasionally assist with the 4-year-old as needed, focusing on learning and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate as a team player, respecting their parenting style and following their guidelines.
• Assist with light household tasks related to the family including full family laundry, tidying, and dishes, while always prioritizing the baby.
• Maintain open communication, asking questions when needed and providing feedback on the children's progress.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience caring for newborns.
• Loving, warm, and friendly demeanor with a passion for engaging and teaching young children.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow the family's lead in parenting.
• Ability to maintain a calm and patient demeanor in a busy household.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• The family requires the candidate to be COVID, flu, and TDAP vaccinated.
